- I need help from a networking/developer guru. I have been trying
- to get shapeshifter to work in an extensive ethertalk/ethernet
- network with multiple routers and zones (activated to pass
- ethertalk traffic... all macs work OK).
- For some reason when shapeshifter tries to access ethertalk zone
- information, it can get the zone name and the macs that are on the
- immediate subnet, but it can't "see" past the router.
- I have tried disabling all amiga networking software (inet-225) so
- that the TCP/IP protocol stacks aren't running, but to no avail.
-
- question: Is this something to do with MULTICAST functions in the
- a2065.device driver and the networking card.
-
- question2: what are the protocol types for ethertalk / ethertalk
- zone info (i.e ethernet IP is 2048 / 2054) so that I can do
- some packet capture with sanamon or sanautil
-
- question3: Does the a2065.device driver & card even support multicast?
-
- Any help would be appreciated
